Some of the applications of our work are:
- This framework will facilitate and speed the design process of robots.
- The prototype robot will be used as an educational tool in the robotics
and automatic control classes.
- The controller subsystem that simulates a PID controller can
be used to control any electro-mechanical device controlled by a PID
control law. This subsystem can also be used as an educational tool
to demonstrate the effect of changing the feedback gains and the update
frequency on the system behavior.
- This project establishes the basis and the framework for design
automation of robot manipulators in the department.
