scientific examination of the geological, physical, chemical, and
biological
characteristics of the oceans. The
course will include laboratory and field studies of local marine
environments.
It is open to non-science students interested in learning about the
oceans. Prerequisite: Science C101 or C102 or an equivalent
course. 2
lecture periods; 1 three-hour laboratory; 3 semester hours.
