OUR ENVIRONMENT: THE OCEANS

DESCRIPTION

The scientific examination of the geological, physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of the oceans. The course will include laboratory and field studies of local marine environments. It is open to non-science students interested in learning about the oceans.  Prerequisite: Science C101 or C102 or an equivalent course. 2 lecture periods; 1 three-hour laboratory; 3 semester hours.
