CS 410 Final Exam

You have been instructed to carefully read the three journal articles on Java in preparation for this exam.

1. Adding Real-Time Capabilities to Java by K. Nilsen, Communications of the ACM, June 4, 1998

2. Coping With Java Programming Stress by R. Alexander et al, IEEE Computer, April 2000

3. Using Design Patterns by J. Cooper, Communications of the ACM, June 4, 1998

You are to answer the following question drawing from your reading of the
papers as well as from the depth of the knowledge you have acquired from
your classwork and your Java language projects. Your answer should be in text
form, and be emailed to my address (dichter@bridgeport.edu) no later than
11:59 PM on May 8, 2000.

Your answer should be no more than 2 pages long, and make specific references to at least two of the papers in the reading. Your answer should be written in a organized paper format, similar to the Communications of the ACM papers. Be sure it is in text format. No word processed answers will be accepted. Any form of cheating or plagiarizing in this exam will result with a grade of F for the student.

Question: Find a point in two of the articles you have read, and make a counter argument to the author(s). Back up why you disagree on a point ( You are not disagreeing with the entire paper, simply with a point contained in the paper ). For one of the papers, add your own section (based upon the depth of your Java knowledge) which would make the paper better or more complete.
