We believe, Harati Ma is the next living Goddess of Nepal- after the Goddess Kumari. She has one hundred and one sons and daughters. Among them, she always keeps her six sons ans daughters in her surroundings - even on her laps and scats, with love. She is the protector of children on this earth.

From the research about her decendants, she was from the demon family of the Middle Asia who came to settle in the east part of India. Then , she migrated to Nepal. Beforehand, everybody was afraid of her demon - spirit and it was said that Buddha turned her mind into compassion with love and she accepted the non-violanceness in her life.

Before, she was supposed to be a terror but after, she proved herself as the protector of the human beings and then became the grand-maa of the Nepalese people. She is in Swayambhu - settled very near to Buddha and every body worships and regards her as the symbol of love, protection  or protector. She is worshipped with the Tantric method called Pancha-makar (five - percepts).

If we know a child is ill, he or she is taken to her shrine - to pay devote and the child gets recovered from the illness. And, we never fail to do so because she is the promissing cult in ourselves now. We all are in her shrine and we always say:
