Contours to Splines

Both closed and open contours are represented as ordered sets of points. The contour points are used as control points on a Spline curve in the _1system. It is important not to use all of the contour points while fitting the spline. In many cases, there are more than a thousand points in the original image. This gives an over-constrained solution.
