Object Recognition

The basic idea of object recognition is that when an image is fed into the computer, the computer will tell us what the object in the image is, which will involve methods of reading and writing image, reading and playing voice, taking threshold value of the image, etc. GUI in Matlab is used to present this project.

An Educational Game, the HANGMAN, using MATLAB's Graphical User Interface (GUI)

Educational computer and video games have always grabbed the attention of scholars across a variety of disciplines because these games are attributed to multiple enhancements in the learning process. Investments continue to be made for educational computer and video games, because of their ability to captivate students' attention and hold on to it for a longer period of time. With the new technologies developed, educational computer games will especially continue to rise in popularity in order to make learning process more attractive and motivating for K-12 students.

With the new technologies developed, educational computer games will especially continue to rise in popularity in order to make learning process more attractive and motivating for K-12 students.

With this master project, we have developed an educational game, the HANGMAN, using MATLAB's Graphical User Interface (GUI). The Hangman game is developed to help K-12 students to increase their vocabulary as well as increase their guessing ability which along the way also improves thinking capability. The game has six different categories: Animal, Astronomy, Country, Math, Science, Sports. The game includes over seven hundred words.

The Hangman computer game can be used by K-12 schools to help them in their curricula.
